Marilyn Elizabeth Lerche

LERCHE, Marilyn Elizabeth, age 88 of Lennon, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2023. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside committal service will be held at ​11:00 AM Saturday on ​July 8, 2023 at Thetford Cemetery in Clio, Michigan.  A funeral luncheon, and celebration of Marilyn's life, will be held immediately following her committal service at 12:30 PM Saturday at the Faith Missionary Church located at 1327 Elms Road, Flint, Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marilyn to the Faith Missionary Church or the charity of your choice..

Marilyn Elizabeth Wells was born in Michigan on December 12, 1934 to the late David V and Vera Mae (Dodd) Wells. She married the Rev. Gerald Gustave Lerche on April 15, 1965 and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2016.  Marilyn attended Bethel University in Indiana and completed her education at Michigan State University. She was a elementary school teacher in the Beecher School District and she enjoyed traveling, her faithful furry companion, Winston and attending Faith Missionary Church.

She is survived by her children, David (Yvonne) Lerche of Eastpointe and Rebecca (Gregory) DeLaere of SC.  Grandchildren, Andrew (Ashleigh Wilson) Simpson; Joshua Lerche; Kristen Lerche; Gregory DeLaere, Jr.; Jennifer Delaere; Christina DeLaere; Madison DeLaere and Adrianne DeLaere.  Sister, Martha Wells, one niece and two nephews.

Mrs. Lerche was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Margaret Oltesvig; and her dog, Wintston.
