Marilyn Christine Winkens

Winkens, Marilyn C. - Age 86, died March 4, 2026. Services will be held 1 PM Wednesday April 29, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or Michigan Animal Rescue League. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48442.

Marilyn was born April 29, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John Winkens and Margaret (Boerner) Winkens. She had worked in Social work since 1974. She worked many years for the State of Michigan at Fairlawn Center. She then operated Kaleidoscope Counseling Services, a mental Health clinic, in Waterford. Surviving are: a group of close friends and her loyal dogs Daisy and Smokey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her wife Ruth Kesselring.
