Marion Marie DAVIES

DAVIES, Marion Marie - age 84, passed away, November 12, 2012 at her home with family by her side. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Joyce Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society. Marion was born October 3, 1928, the daughter of Merril and Mildred (Unger) Hewitt in Metamora, MI. She married Allan "Spike" K. Davies on March 12, 1949. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1947. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Swartz Creek. She was an avid reader and a member of the Book Bunch Club. She was the number one fan of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sports. She is survived by: her children, Jim (Luann) Davies, Kim (Michelle) Davies, Tim (Sarah) Davies, Tami (Randy) Henry; 13 grandkids; 20 great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and brother, Jim Hewitt in 2005. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
