Marion Erskine KRYZA

KRYZA, Marion Erskine - Age 88, of Linden formerly of Fenton, died Thursday, February 21, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, with Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice Advantage or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Marion was born March 25, 1924 in Aberdeen, Scotland, the daughter of Thomas Dickson and Marion B. (Erskine) Byres. She served in the Royal Naval Service in Scotland and England for 3 years. She married Joseph Witold Kryza March 25, 1945 in Scotland and he preceded her in death July 25, 2002. She and her husband owned and operated Kryza A.M.C. Jeep in Fenton for 20 years. Marion resided in the Fenton area for over 45 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, Fenton V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3243, and the Professional Business Women's Club. Surviving are: 3 children, Michael J. and wife Phyllis Kryza of Flushing, Kathleen M. Kryza of Ann Arbor, and Joseph W. and wife Nora Kryza of Fenton; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Kryza of Grand Blanc; 9 grandchildren, John, Jennifer, Kristopher, Andrew, Trevor, Joey, Nina, Max, and James; 4 great grandchildren, Kenneth, Annie, Ellie, and Elan; brother, Norman Byres of Scotland; several beloved nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Peter and Richard Kryza; and 3 brothers, Tommy, Neal, and Jerry. The family wishes to extend special thanks to her neighbors of Creekwood Circle.
