MAUL, Marjorie Henriette - Age 96, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018. No service will be held. Those desiring may make contributions to Leader Dogs for the Blind or Adopt-A-Pet. Marjorie was born October 9, 1921 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Norman and Loretta (St. Denis) Miron. She was a 1940 graduate of Flint Central High School. She married Edward Maul September 21, 1948 in Flint and he preceded her in death April 15, 2001. She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1973 coming from Flint. Marjorie received recognition in May of 1994 for her outstanding service as a volunteer for the Genesee Federation of the Blind and she served as President of the Genesee Council of the Blind. She also did countless volunteer hours of work for the Red Cross and at the Children's Ward at Hurley Hospital. She served as a volunteer Teacher's Assistant and was a homeroom mother. She founded a women's club at Southwestern High School and a teen and college drop in center at Freeman Elementary. Surviving are: daughter, Leslie Diane Holtslander of Swartz Creek; son, Gregory Alan Maul of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Brett Jason Holtslander of Linden, Wendy (Brad) Drogosch of Northville, Amy Maul of Linden, Tracy (Mike) Rigdon of Gaines, and Ian (Kim) Wilbur of Kimball; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Eugene Miron of Flint; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Georgette Root; brothers, Leo and Warren Miron.
