Marjorie Jean MUELLER

Marjorie Jean Mueller (Chapman), 71, of Linden, MI passed away January 17, 2014 in Avon Park, FL. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. The family will greet friends from 6-9 pm Friday and 11-1 pm Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Flint Institute of Music. Marjorie was born in Flint to James and Teresa Chapman on March 31, 1942. Marjorie graduated from Southwest HS and the University of Michigan, Flint and worked as an elementary school teacher before leaving to work full-time at Mueller's Orchard, the family business. After leaving the orchard she graduated from Mott Community College with a degree in nursing and worked at the VA hospital in Ann Arbor, MI, until her retirement. Marjorie loved art and music, was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards with friends, and gardening. She will be remembered for her sense of adventure and great capacity for love. Survivors include daughter Madeline (David) Elmhirst of Minneapolis, son Michael Mueller of Linden, grandchildren Owen and Olivia Mueller, sisters Marilyn (Doug) Brownrigg, Beth Oliver, Cheryl (Paul) Barnes, and many nieces and nephews.
