SHEPARD, Marjorie June - Age 86, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Gaines, died September 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Gaines United Methodist Church, 117 Clinton St., Gaines. Pastor Eric Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday, 2-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Gaines United Methodist Church. Marjorie was born June 11, 1927 in Byron, the daughter of Hal and Minnie Betterly. She was a member of Gaines United Methodist Church. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, sewing and club activities in Punta Gorda. Surviving are: husband, Lawrence; children, Bonnie Jankowski, Fred (Carshenia) Shepard, Teresa (Bart) Smith; son-in-law, Wayne Word; grandchildren, Richard (Lori) Jankowski, Kevin (Denise) Jankowski, Stephanie (Jeff) Croteau, Jill (Mike) Croteau, Zack (Katie) Smith, Spencer Smith; 11 great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
