Mark was born February 25, 1955 in Flint, Michigan to the late Arnold Joseph and Gloria Jean (Rector) Krueger. On February 10, 1973, he married the love of his life, Catherine Marie (Savoie) Krueger, beginning a beautiful marriage of 53 years.

Some people build careers. Others build businesses. The truly remarkable build people, families, and legacies that endure long after they are gone.

That was the life of Mark.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, entrepreneur, mentor, and faithful Catholic whose life was defined by service—to God, to his country, to his family, and to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

His remarkable journey began with the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country for 20 years. Beginning his military career as an enlisted airman, he went on to become an officer and served as a squadron commander at several bases, and at Air Force Headquarters and retired as a Captain.

After retiring from the military, he returned home to Michigan to be with his family and his entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to E & L Construction Group, where he helped grow the company into the respected business it is today. He built an amazing team of people that he hired, mentored, and inspired. Most importantly, he built a foundation of honesty, excellence, and hard work that continues through his two sons and the E&L Team.

His influence reached even further. When his daughter dreamed of opening The White Dress, he was there from the very beginning. He believed in her vision, offered wisdom, rolled up his sleeves to help in countless ways, and became an integral part of building the business into what it is today.

His greatest joy in life was his family. His 53 year marriage to Cathy was a shining example of love, devotion and what a marriage should be, and together they raised their kids with faith, love, and strong values. As "Grandpa" to his seven beloved grandchildren, he became their biggest fan, loudest cheerleader, and greatest source of encouragement. Every grandchild knew they had someone in their corner who believed there was nothing they couldn't achieve.

His greatest accomplishment was the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he changed simply by believing in people.

His Catholic faith was the foundation upon which everything was built.

He leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured in buildings, awards, or titles. His legacy lives in the family who carries forward his values, the businesses that continue because of his vision, the grandchildren who will forever hear his words of encouragement, and the many lives forever changed by his kindness, wisdom, humor, and unwavering belief in others.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and joyfully remembered until we meet again.

He was survived by his beloved wife, Catherine, his two sons Greg (Angie) Krueger of Linden, MI; Jeff (Rene) Krueger of Brighton, MI, his daughter, Kristy (Andrew) Koryzno of Brighton, MI; 7 grandchildren Drew (25), Aiden (22), Reed (20), Madeline (15), Evan (13), Gloria (9), and Peter (6), and his sister Diane Heidenberger of Lapeer, MI.

He was preceded by his parents Arnold and Gloria Krueger.
