Morris, Marlene Joyce - Age 93, of Swartz Creek, passed away June 4, 2026. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, MI. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday and 12 PM - 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to ABC 12 and Zonta Diaper Drive. Marlene was born on January 21, 1933, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Samuel and Beatrice (Harris) Keast. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1951 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in education from University of Michigan-Flint and a master's degree from Oakland University. Marlene devoted her career to education, teaching for many years with Flushing Community Schools. Her dedication to her students and passion for learning left a lasting impact on countless young people. She retired from teaching in 1995. Following her retirement, Marlene began a second career in real estate, working with Gerholz Realty and Banacki Realty, where she continued to serve others with the same professionalism and care that had characterized her teaching career. Marlene was also an active member of Zonta International for many years, supporting its mission of empowering women and improving communities through service and advocacy. She valued education, community involvement, and helping others, and her contributions touched many lives throughout the Flint area. Surviving are: son, Samuel (Cheri) Morris of Orlando, FL; grandson, Joseph Morris and wife, Erin Reichel of Orlando, FL; close family friends. Riley and Gwen Moore; niece and nephews in Mesa, AZ; and many cousins in Canada and the United Kingdom .
