Marshall Leigh Parks

Age 66 of Swartz Creek, died suddenly May 21,2025 at his home. Born September 6,1958 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Ludie and June (Clark) Parks. He attended the University of Michigan and was retired from a long career in the Mining Equipment Industry. Marshall loved family and took great pride in his role as a husband, father, grandfather and loved being known as everyone’s “Papa”. He enjoyed football, track, playing his guitar and all kinds of music, but most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Merna (Bullard) Parks; his mother June Parks; his 4 children; Danelle Barker and her husband Chuck, Dale Prince, Jeoffrey Parks and Tamara Parks; grandson Wyatt Barker with whom he had a special bond, other grandchildren Izzy and Harmony Parks; honorary grandchildren King and Delaney that Marshall and Merna have watched over since a very young age; one brother, Ludie Parks Jr., sister Renae Parks and half-brother Michael. He was preceded in death by his father, Ludie Parks Sr., 3 brothers, Jeoffrey Parks and his wife Darlena, Wendell Parks, and Darrell Parks; and his sister Michelle.
