HABBEL, Martha Ann (Nasser) - Age 85, of Grand Blanc, died Sunday, February 19, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St, Grand Blanc. Monsignor Jerry Vincke and Fr. Steve Makranyi concelebrating. Entombment in the Mausoleum at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Friday from 2-8 PM, where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM and at Holy Family Catholic Church Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to EWTN TV or Genesee County Humane Society. Martha was born June 22, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Elias George and Frances Marie (Heinrich) Nasser. She received her Bachelor's Degree from U of M and had two years toward her Masters Degree in Nursing. She married John Habbel March 10, 2001 in Flushing. She had been employed by McLaren-Flint for many years and had also worked at Ingham Medical Center. Martha resided in Grand Blanc for the past 6 years after moving from Flushing. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Surviving are: husband, John; children, Diana (Dennis) Smith of Owosso, Kathleen (Dr. Greg) Hollstrom of Largo, FL, Marilyn (Jerry) Paga of Rochester Hills, and Daniel (Colleen) Pichiotino of Linden; step children, Paul (Colleen) Habbel of Capac, Dr. Steven (Beth) Habbel of Howell, and Kenneth Habbel of Capac; grandchildren, Cindy (Aaron), Scott (Julie), Ashley (Ray), Jennifer (Ted), Dr. Greg II (Irene), Gwen (Jay), Jacob, and Justin; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Rudy (Joan) Nasser of Clio and George Nasser of Sarasota, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Louis Nasser; sister-in-law, Bernice Foley; and brother-in-law, Frank Habbel.
