Martha Anne PHILBURN

PHILBURN, Martha Anne - Age 66, long time resident of Fenton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from complications due to stroke. Funeral Service will be 3 PM Friday March 28 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 West Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. Visitation will be 2 PM to 8 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home and 1 PM until time of Service on Friday. Interment at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Fowlerville. Martha was born July 14, 1947 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Richard and Martha (Matthews) Minder. She was a 1965 graduate of Byron High School. She centered her life on taking care of her family and enriching their lives with her kind, generous spirit. Martha is survived by her husband, Gary H. Philburn; children, Christina Philburn-Gillespie, Christopher Philburn, and Paula Philburn. Martha took immense delight in her nine grandchildren: Brianna Gillespie, Elisha Philburn-Bagy, Evan Philburn, Aria Gillespie-Smith, Tessa Gillespie, Katarenia Bindscheatel, Ahlora Bindscheatel, Abigail Bindscheatel, and Alex Jacob Kee. She was blessed with three great-grandchildren: Landon Philburn, Charles Bagy, and Hunter Smith. Martha is also survived by two brothers and four sisters: Richard Minder, Michael Minder, Wendy Addis, Diane Grate, Sandy Peters, and Pam Minder. She was preceded in death by her parents.
