ROUSE, Martha Remley - Age 89, of Flint, formerly of Bethesda, MD, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Those desiring may make contributions to The Humane Society of Genesee County. Martha was born January 5, 1925 in Grain Valley, MO, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Richardson) Remley. During WWII, she worked for the U.S. Army as a Cryptographic Technician. She went on to earn a BA from University of Missouri and an MA from American University. For over 20 years Martha was employed by the Federal Government as an Information Specialist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. She was a longtime member of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Bethesda, MD and was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. Surviving are: children, Cary (Chuck Allison) Rouse of Flint, Robert (Jan) Rouse of California, Alison Whyte of Maryland, Ian Rouse of Chile; seven wonderful grandsons; sisters, Helen Bell of California and Ruth Field of Missouri.
