Mary A. Ashley

Ashley, Mary A. - Age 89, of Burton, died September 18, 2025. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, September 26, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 6340 Roberta St. Burton. Fr. Dieudonne Ntakarutimana celebrant. Entombment will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 2-7 PM Thursday, September 25 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc; and from 9 AM Friday until the time of the mass at the church. A Rosary will also take place at 6 PM Thursday, September 25 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Blessed Sacrament for masses in Mary's name.

Mary was born October 27, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of August John Keskes and Anna (Nagay) Keskes. She married Don Ashley May 30, 1953 in Flint, he preceded her in death on August 31, 2019. Mary worked for Bentley Schools for 25 years as a cook manager before retiring in 1995. She was a wonderful seamstress, she sewed everything. Mary was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She spent countless hours making rosaries. Mary was also her brothers caregiver in their later years.

She is survived by her children, Julie Adams of Burton, Denise (Bob) Cole of Clio, and Brian Ashley of Burton; grandchildren, Stephen, Scott (Lisa), Ryan, Melissa (Kevin), and Anthony (Kristy); great-grandchildren, Luke, Anna, Drew; many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Theresa Keskes, Julius Keskes, Andrew Keskes, Bernice Malin, Joseph Keskes, Barbara Phillion, Nicholas Keskes and Julie Sanchez.
