Mary Jane BENISH

BENISH, Mary Jane -- Age 95, of Flint, died February 10, 2013 at McLaren, Flint. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2 PM Friday, February 15 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint, Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, and 1-2 PM Friday at the church. Mrs. Benish was born December 14, 1917 in Flint the daughter of Roy and Florence (Wey) Renn. She was a 1935 graduate of Flint Central High School. She was married to Stanley James Benish on April 19, 1941; he preceded her in death September 24, 2011. Mrs. Benish worked as a Secretary at U.A.W. Region 1C office retiring in 1978 with 30 years of service. After retirement, she and her husband Stan spent 10 years in Florida and a few years in Asheville NC before returning to the Flint area in 2000. Surviving are: son John Benish of Fenton; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Stanley; and brother Roy Renn.
