Mary Josephine Cross

CROSS, Mary Josephine - Age 89, of Linden, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Mary's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Rev. Bradley Haywood officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 4-8 pm and Tuesday from 12 pm until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mary was born March 9, 1936 in Flint, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Kunik) Bradley. She was a 1954 graduate of Hoover High School in Flint. She married Leon Eugene Cross November 15, 1958 in Flint; and he preceded her in death October 25, 2018. She had resided in Linden since 1968 coming from Davison and Tacoma, WA. Mary was a fan of old movies. “ Mary always wanted to be an actress, until her final days.”

Surviving are: her son, Patrick Cross of Milford; grandsons, Daniel Cross of Clawson and Matthew Cross (Natalie Carson) of Linden; siblings, Rosalie Bargo of Flushing, Geraldine Irons of Grand Blanc, Sandra Crane of Flushing and Thomas Bradley of New Lothrop; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Bradley; son, Douglas Cross; siblings, Pauline Haywood, Anthony Bradley, Donald Bradley, Lorraine Brock and William Bradley. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
