Mary Cruickshank

Mary Jane Cruickshank danced all the way to heaven on June 20, 2017. Her work here was done and it was time to join her son, Todd "Toddy" Johnson and grandson, Joshua "Joshy" Bush. God was also in need of a high-kicking, energetic dance enthusiast and she was his #1 choice. Helping people at the town square was what she loved to do. You could always count on seeing her there early saving parking spots for her friends, arranging chairs to ensure everyone had the best seat in the house and sharing God's word. She was quite the attraction, out dancing anyone that would join her and encouraging others to "keep moving"! She will be missed but finally has arrived home and reached her ultimate goal of salvation. Mary Jane loved the Lord and her children. She is survived by son, Marshall Johnson Jr. of Flint, MI; son, Tyler Johnson of Clarkston, MI; son, Tim Bush of Grandville, MI; daughter, Toni Palsgrove of Portage, MI. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Johnson of Flint, MI. Mary was blessed with a large family and is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was born on November 18, 1937 in Bensonville, IL to the late John and Coy Tyler. She worked for General Motors where she loaded rail cars until she retired in 1992. She spent her retirement in central Florida and much of her earlier years in Flint, MI. Services for Mary will be held 1 PM Friday, June 23, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service. We celebrate her life and death in knowing she was one of God's most loyal angels and she was welcomed home with open arms.
