Mary Greene

MARY ALYCE GREENE -- Age 80, was a born again Christian, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and had many other loved ones. Mary Alyce Neal Greene was born on September 2, 1935 to Sterling and Dorothy Neal. She relocated to Detroit, MI at an early age and attended the public school system. She met and married James Greene who preceded her in death in 1995. She was employed at Highland View for 10 years and Coventry Home Health for about 8 years. She retired but continued to work for the Lord at Great Lakes Baptist Temple as a Sunday School Teacher, and also helped the custodian and as a kitchen helper until her health began to fail. She went home to a new body and to Praise the Lord on January 4, 2016. Those who will cherish her memory are daughter, Cheryl Tarver of Birmingham, AL; son, Gregory Brooks of Novi, MI; granddaughters, Alicia Dandridge of Gadsden, AL; Joy Dandridge, Celetha, Norrise and Sherre Tarver all of Birmingham, AL; and Jordan Brooks of Plymouth, MI. She also was blessed with many, many friends and church members. Funeral services will take place at 12PM on Friday, January 8, 2015 at Great Lakes Baptist Temple, 2112 E. Maple Ave., Flint, Pastor David Chittenden officiating. Interment will take place at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 3-8PM on Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, and also from 11AM until the time of service Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. The family of Mary Greene would like to especially thank the staff at Sharp Funeral Homes, Great Lakes Baptist Temple, Pastor David A.
