Mary Jane (Abee) Hall - age 93 of Fenton, formerly of Flushing, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Mary was born in Flint on September 30, 1931 to Ernest and Myrtle (Knapp) Abee. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1950 and married her true love, Robert Clayton Hall on July 11, 1952. Robert preceded Mary Jane in death on September 26, 2014. Mary was a proud mother and homemaker for many years, she later worked for, and retired from Citizens Bank where she worked as a Teller.
She leaves her pride and joy, her beautiful family. Daughter, Rosemary Emerton and son, Robert (Rosa Herman), Jr. Granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth (Kenneth) Dudley. Great-grandchildren, Ava Paige Dudley and Olivia Noelle Dudley. A special place in her heart belongs to a friend since birth, Nancy (Dempsey) Keathley. Mary Jane is also survived by a special niece, Judy (Jim) Hodder; nephews, Randall (Karen) Johnson and Michael (Yvonne) Johnson. Cousins, Fred Ryan; Jeri Bathamly; Charles (Reta) Abee; John (Kathy) Abee.
Mary grew up in a Godly home with church as her life but she did not accept Jesus Christ as her Savior until she was 30 years old and at a Jack Van Impe crusade at the original IMA Auditorium. She loved to sing harmony and she sang in her school acapella choir, church choirs and Sweet Adeline Chorus International - Flint Chapter. Mary enjoyed may hobbies; time with her family and friends, a passion for needle art (especially knitting and needlepoint), reading, flowers and gardening, cooking and baking, puzzles, bible study and Tiger baseball. Her world also included many glorious furry friends, a cocker spaniel and four mini-dachshunds.
Preceding Mary in death are her husband; parents; sister, Maxine (McChesney) Johnson; nephew, Harold Johnson.
Mary will be laid to rest, next to her husband, in a private ceremony at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
