Mary Frances McIntyre

McINTYRE, Mary Frances - Age 102, formerly of Fenton/Ferndale, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton (A live stream of the service will be available on Mary's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant.  Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fenton.  Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. Mary was born November 5, 1920 in Purcell, KS, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Agnell) Lednicky.  She was a 1937 graduate of Mt. Saint Scholastica Academy and in 1941 she received a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Mt. Saint Scholastica College in Atchinson, KS.  She married Ronald C. McIntyre February 14, 1946  and he preceded her in death June 3, 2004.  Mary was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she volunteered with funeral luncheons and as a Sacristan.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing Solitaire, traveling and visits from babies.  

Surviving are: her children, Leo (Alice) McIntyre of Franklin, Marcia (Al) Gurche of Sterling Heights, Michael (Denise) McIntyre of Clarkson, Kerry (Bill) Kuzak of Clinton Township, Warren (Jan) McIntyre of Troy and Jeanine (Dave) Dunaj of Berkley; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian McIntyre; grandsons, Greg Gurche and Colin McIntyre; sister, Elizabeth Harris; and brother, John Lednicky.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
