Mary Margaret (Mulcahey) Ovington

Mary Margaret (Mulcahey) Ovington - Age 88, of Fenton, passed away August 2, 2025. A memorial service will be held 4PM Friday, August 8, 2025 at The Freedom Center, 2473 W. Shiawassee Ave., Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory. Mary was born August 27, 1936 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph and Sarah Cecelia (Burns) Mulcahey. She married Gerald J. Ovington on September 2, 1961 in Detroit. Mary retired from Lake Fenton High School in 1999 after 20 years of service. She was an active member of The Freedom Center. Mary enjoyed baking. She was a kind-hearted person, a prayer warrior and was happiest when all of her family was together. She is survived by her children, Michael (Kelly) Ovington and Jennifer (David) Macklin; grandchildren, Dale, Anthony (Cheyenne), Nicole, Zahne, Baylee, Ezekiel, Brook, Taylor and Michayla; great-grandchildren, Riley, Paityn, Dax and Wade; brother, Dennis Mulcahey; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Denise Sharlow; son, Patrick Ovington; sisters, Emily, Anna and Eileen; brother, Tommy. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
