Mary Ann Owens

April 26, 1942 — December 7, 2025

Flint

Mary Ann (Myers) Owens, 83, died peacefully on December 7, 2025. She was born on April 26, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, to James Robert and Mary Etta Myers. She was part of the first graduating class of Flint Southwestern High School and was a proud graduate of the Hurley School of Nursing. Throughout her nursing career, she served in private practices, hospitals, and hospice care, where her kindness and gentle spirit touched countless lives.

Mary Ann married Adam Samuel Owens, and together they celebrated 62 years of marriage on September 1. They raised four children: Sally, James, John (Kim), and Andrew (Ashley). She was a beloved grandmother to 11 grandchildren — Grace, Sarah (Ethan), William, Anna, Claire (Mike), Laura, Jacob, Max, Emma, Everett, and Emerson — and great-grandmother to great-grandsons Owen and Hayden.

Mary Ann lived a life of faithful service as a devoted mother, grandmother, Bible Study Fellowship leader, Sunday School teacher, school volunteer, and compassionate caregiver to the elderly. A faithful follower of Christ, she centered her life around her churches, first Lincoln Park Baptist Church and later Central Church of the Nazarene. Her hobbies often became gifts to others, as she joyfully took on sewing, wallpapering, and painting projects. She loved home projects and willingly helped family and friends whenever she could.

Her eye for patterns and color, along with her creative spirit, made each piece she crafted truly special.

In addition to her husband and children, Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Sandy (David) Bickel, along with many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Sharp Funeral Home on Fenton Road in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
