Mary Ellen REDICK

REDICK, Mary Ellen, age 89, of Flint passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at LaCasa Care, Linden. Funeral services will be 12:00PM Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Pastor Ken McMaster officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice. Mary was born October 9, 1923 in Mayville the daughter of the late Roland G. and Bessie (Sherman) Freeland. She married Arthur Wesley Redick on January 17, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Mary was employed by A.C. Spark Plug for 27 years until her retirement in 1992. She attended Berean Baptist Church, enjoyed reading, playing the organ and bird watching. Mary was a devoted wife and loving mother. Surviving are her two sons, Duane Redick (Alberta) of Burton, Roger Redick (Alice) of Fenton; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brother, John Redick (Sally) of Clarkston.
