Matthew Adam LANTER

LANTER, Matthew Adam - age 26, of Burton, died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident. Services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Faith Tabernacle Church, 1225 S. Center Rd., Burton with Pastor Ben Markham officiating. Visitation will be held 2-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center. 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint and from 12 PM until time of service Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Matthew A. Lanter Memorial Fund. Matthew was born December 9, 1986, the son of Robert McPhillips and Renee Lanter. He was the manager of Lucharles Manor Adult Foster Care and was a caretaker at heart. He brightened every room he walked in. Matt loved sports, especially basketball, Michigan State and the Philadelphia Eagles. Surviving are: mother, Renee and Michael Endicott; father, Robert and Caroline McPhillips; seven siblings, Janell Lanter, Ashley McPhillips, Justin and Mikayla Endicott, Kristin Branham, Ethan and "Bobbo" Heyworth; devoted grandparents, Keith and Shirley Lanter; special nephews, Brendan and Evan Wilson; special friends, Adam and Ryan Hamilla and Alejandra Ruiz; many cousins, other family and friends also survive.
