Maxine Elaine DuBois

Maxine Elaine DuBois, age 82, of Linden, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, surrounded by her family. A service and celebration of life will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor John Walworth officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, New Lothrop. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maxine’s name to Emmanual Hopsice of Grand Rapids.

Maxine was born on November 29, 1943, in Owosso, the daughter of the late William and Emma (Conklin) Breiler. She graduated from Corunna High School, Class of 1962, and went on to attend Baker College. On September 3, 1983, Maxine and Gilbert DuBois were united in marriage at Linden Presbyterian Church. Maxine and Gilbert were both active in the church and served as deacons together. Maxine was a member of several knitting clubs, the Linden Lioness Club, and the “Up North Girls.” She especially cherished watching her grandsons participate in sports and was their #1 fan, always there to cheer them on.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert DuBois; daughters, Jennifer (Andrew) Zalinski, Vicki (Staci) Loszewski, and Lindy (Ed) Williams; grandchildren, John Zalinski, Jack Zalinski, and Alyssa Williams; great-grandson, Christopher Williams; brother, Clayton Breiler; and her special friend, Sandy Allison, who was also her first husband’s second wife.
