Maxine Lucille KIELIAN

KIELIAN, Maxine Lucille - Age 91, of Flint, died November 5, 2013. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Maxine was born September 3, 1922 in Flushing, the daughter of August and Mabel (Beckwith) Thiel. She was married to Frank Kielian on December 23, 1939; he preceded her in death on May 18, 2006. Mrs. Kielian was a "Rosie the Riveter" at General Motors, where she retired in 1979. She enjoyed spending weekends at her cabin on Wixom Lake, crocheting, crossword puzzles and her dog, Tiny. She loved polka dancing with her family and friends. Surviving are: children, Charlotte (Clifford) Erickson of Oscoda, Gary (Pauline) Kielian of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Valerie Kielian of London, England; six grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
