WASHINGTON, Melinda Pauline - age 63, of Flint, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Elder Will I. Morgan of The Pentecostal Temple Apostolic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3 PM - 8 PM Friday and 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Melinda was born September 21, 1955 in Flint, the daughter of Leonard and Juanita (Howard) Vaughn. She retired from Delphi Corporation and attended Charity United Methodist Church. Melinda was always the life of the party, she loved music, her dog, Mr. Bentley, her family and especially her grandchildren. Surviving are: son, Kres (Tara) Washington of Grand Blanc; daughter, India Washington of Rochester Hills; step-son, Reginald James of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Miles, Raegan, and Grant Washington; two sisters, Rosalie Glaspie of Detroit and Sondra Huddleston of Rochester Hills; brother-in-law, Rodney Washington; niece, Amelia Norwood; nephew, James Clements; niece, Brandy Hill; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by: husband, Ricardo Washington; father, Leonard Vaughn; mother, Juanita Vaughn; step-father, Paul Huddleston; brother, Elarnest Glaspie; and brother-in-law, Melvin Washington.
