MOODY, Michael John - Age 56, of Austin, TX, died May 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held 4 PM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Pastor John White will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Michael was born January 19, 1962 in Detroit, the son of Donald and Maureen (McCarthy) Moody. Michael was a 1980 graduate of Hartland High School. He worked as a self-employed carpenter his entire life and enjoyed making custom birdhouses. He had lived in Austin, TX for the past 35 years. Michael married Kim Welbes on September 19, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Kim; children, Kayla R. Moody of Portland, OR, William R. Moody of Austin, TX, Robert W. Moody of Austin, TX; mother, Maureen Moody of Linden; siblings, Monica Zimmerman, Dan (Sandy) Moody, Tim (Kari) Moody, Matt Moody, Maureen Moody-Myers; several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends.
