O'Driscoll, Michael Allen - age 79 of Flint, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on April 20, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507 with Chaplain Robert Royer officiating. Following the service, Michael will be laid to rest, with military honors, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at 2:00 PM. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Michael to the American Cancer Society (American Cancer Society).
Michael was born on November 11, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late Francis John and Lottie Lula (Wing) O'Driscoll. He graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1964 he then went on to Hurley Hospital in 1965 to study to be an X-Ray technician. In 1967 Michael worked for Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Michael married Dorothy Jean Jamrog September 27, 1968 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Michael proudly served our country with the United States Army, he was drafted in early 1968 and spent two years at Fort Knox in Kentucky, Michael obtained the rank of Sergeant and Drill Instructor - he loved the Army. He then returned to Flint and worked again at Flint Osteopathic Hospital for a year before Michael and his family moved to Sandusky, Michigan. to join the staff at McKenzie Memorial Hospital where he worked for over 30 years, returning back to Flint in 2015 to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. In his early years, he enjoyed traveling with Dorothy throughout the United States, visiting family in Arizona and California, on his BMW Motorcycle, though his greatest joy was being a Grandpa.
Michael will be missed by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy. Daughter, Kelly (Adam) Haviland of Grand Blanc. Grandchildren, Avery; Lucas; Gabriel; Roman; Eli; Kellen; Ivy. Brother, Patrick (April) O'Driscoll of Owosso. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents.
