SCHEIB, Michael Edward "Mike" - age 66, of Linden, formerly of Highland, passed away July 24, 2026. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Mike's life will take place on Saturday August 29th. More information to be announced soon. Mike was born October 28, 1959, in Pontiac, the son of Charles Edward and Patricia Anne (Marshall) Scheib. He graduated from Walled Lake Western High School in 1978. Mike was employed with Spartan Stores for 32 years before his retirement. He also served as the Union Steward for Teamsters Local #337. For a short period of time, he also owned and operated a lawn irrigation business installing sprinkler systems. After retiring from Spartan Stores, he worked at the Milford High School Fitness Center and then the Auto Tech Collision Center. Mike enjoyed outdoor activities including snowmobiling, kayaking, and bicycling. He enjoyed anything that would keep him active. He loved to lift weights, run, and completed multiple races including half marathons. When he was younger, he spent time in the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. He was a member of the Fucowees, where he rode and raced snowmobiles. As a car enthusiast, he once restored a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback. Mike was known to keep an immaculate yard and was a gifted handyman. He was always willing to lend a helping hand with family, friends and neighbors with home projects. He enjoyed entertaining guests in his home, cooking for them, and sharing his music interests. He even traveled great distances to see bands he enjoyed. Mike was very proud of his children and was always there for them. He would share stories with everyone about them. Mike is survived by his children, Joel Scheib, Jeffrey Scheib, and Jillian Scheib; the mother of his children, Pamela Scheib; siblings, Tim (Kathy) Scheib, Jeff Scheib, Dianne Scheib-Snider, Pattie Scheib, and Susie (Jim) Highers; several nieces and nephews and a great niece and great nephew. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Patricia Scheib. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
