Mildred Marie KALISEK

July 19, 1937 — June 23, 2010

KALISEK (Kuchar), Mildred Marie of Flint, MI age 72 went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband John on June 23, 2010 at her Flint Twp, MI residence with her family by her side. Mass will be at St. Pius X Parish located at 3139 Hogarth Street Flint Twp, MI at 10:00 am Saturday June 26 with Father Copeland officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Owosso, MI. Family and friends can celebrate her life at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd Swartz Creek, MI on Friday, June 25 2010 from 11am - 9pm. Rosary & Scripture service will take place at 7pm that evening. Millie was born in Owosso July 19 1937 the daughter of John & Anastasia (Sovis) Kuchar of New Lothrop, MI. She enjoyed growing up in New Lothrop and then she met the love of her life John Kalisek Jr. They married on October 20, 1956 at ST Pius Flint, MI Father Balsko Officiated. Millie's lifelong dream was always to be a nurse and she graduated from Mott Community College in 1976 with her LPN degree, and then in 1985 with her pride and joy receiving her RN degree. She was dedicated for over 20 + years to all her patients and families at FOH & McLaren Hospitals and retired in 1996 with Visiting Nurses Association. Millie is survived by two sons John (Nancee) Kalisek III and Stan (Tammy) Kalisek; Millie's precious seven grandchildren Jamie, Meghan, Marie, Zachary, Nickolaus, Faith and McKenzie all of Flint Twp, MI. Five sisters Stacy (Richard) Klatt of New Lothrop, Elaine Walsh of Bellaire, Joanne (Thomas) Scheid of Watervliet, Victoria (and son Joe) Kuchar, Jonilyn (Michael) Bruff all of New Lothrop; sister-in-law, Josephine Kalisek; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Kalisek Jr. and infant son. Parents John and Anastasia Kuchar; Father and mother-in-law John Sr. and Frances Kalisek; Three brothers-in-law Stanley and Henry Kalisek and Donald Walsh. Sincere appreciation to Dr. George Kodsy and the staff at visiting physicians, Hurley labs, Genesys Home Care and Hospice. Special thanks to Tammy Felton her personal nurse.
