Mildred G. Orschell

ORSCHELL, Mildred G. (Balch)  Age 82, of Flint, died Sunday, May 11, 2003 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint with Rev. Msgr. Richard Groshek celebrant. Interment will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 Pm Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A scripture service will be held at 4 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of mass at the church. Mrs. Orschell was born January 1, 1921 in Pickford, MI, the daughter of Lesley and Anna (Crisp) Izzard. She married Robert Orschell in 1960. Mrs. Orschell was employed by Banner Linen on S. Saginaw St., Flint. She was a life member of the V.F.W. Chevrolet Post #3887 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Robert Orschell; four children, Kay (Bill) Kotarski, Patricia (Larry) Barbera, Butch (Tina) Balch, Sue (Brian) Bosley; two sisters, Bernice Rainey of NC, Dorothy Skinner of Pickford, MI; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: daughter, Donna Shilling; first husband, Lewis Balch; mother and step-father, Anna and Robert Sprouse; father, Les Izzard; sister, Alice Gray; brother, Wayne Izzard.
