STRAUGHEN, Mildred E. -- Age 71, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Gaines, died Sunday, March 23, 2014. Services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, April 2 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 11AM until the time of service on Wednesday. In Lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Fund. Mildred was born June 21, 1942 in Gaines, the daughter of George and Velva Lobdell Surviving are: children, Brenda Bartholomew, Terri (James) Waddill, Daniel Straughen, David (Dawn) Straughen, Debra Straughen; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; Companion, Robert Corrigan and family; brother, David (Rosemary) Lobdell; sisters, Rosemary Nagy, Shirley (Fred) Vincent , Virginia (Jim) Warren; sister in law Susanne Lobdell; many nieces and nephews.
