Mildred "Rose" Moss

MOSS, Mildred "Rose" Rosemary (Gillespie) - Age 88, of Flint, passed away on the early morning of Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Willow Brook Manor, Flint. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. A celebration of life will take place at a later date and will be announced by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.

Rose was born on March 16, 1935 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of John and Edith (Long) Gillespie. She graduated from Gaines. Rose worked for AC Delco, IMA and lastly Meijer in the deli department. She loved baking, baking cakes for weddings and cookies for Halloween. Rose loved to go camping and her pet dogs, cats and turtles, Erica, Ava, Ty, Buster, Meranda, Mikey and Ralphy.

She is survived by her son, John Beers; daughter, Mary Fagerstrom; step-children, William Moss, Kenneth (Patricia) Moss, Gregory Moss, Curtis (Quanda) Moss; Wendell Moss and Lesterisha Rule; grandchildren, Jamie Ward and Jeremy Fagerstrom; daughters-in-law, Pat Moss and Valerie Moss; siblings, Ralph Gillespie, John (Wilma) Gillespie and Kate Prudy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Anna Mullen, Armenia Ashby, Jean Mason, Odell Moss and Dr. Edgar Moss; and a host of nieces, nephews and family.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Moss; siblings, George (Gloria) Gillespie, Margaret Bonney and Sarah (Ron) Adams; step-sons, James Moss and David Moss; and brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Dawn. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Brandy (Rodney), Sarah and Tiyé, nephew, Ronnie, Destiny, David, Ashton, and niece, Stephanie (Eric), Elorah, Avery and Pat Moss for their care and hospitality for Rose.
