Minnie Beckwith

BECKWITH, Minnie Merle - Age 82, of Flint Township, died Monday, February 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Jeffrey Beckwith officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association. Minnie was born December 16, 1934 in Groesbeck, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Nina (Doughty) Phillips. She married John F. Beckwith, Sr. September 26, 1950 in Sherman, TX and he preceded her in death April 27, 2014. She had resided in Flint since 1950 coming from Dallas, TX. Minnie enjoyed playing cards, games, bingo and most of all spending time with her family. Surviving are: 3 children, John Beckwith, Jr. of Fenton, Jeffrey and wife Toni Beckwith of Flint, and Linda Hubbard of Flint; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Ryan Ross of Cass City, Jamie Sorrells, Terry Hubbard, Jr., Amy Hubbard, Susie Hubbard all of Flint and Traci and husband Brian Barnhart of Arkansas; 4 great grandchildren, Kayla, Shania, Caitlyn, and Logan; brother, Frank and wife Pat Phillips of Hubbard, TX; and nieces and nephews.
