ATUATASI, Minute Tasimani - age 60, of Flint, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his residence. Services will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Entombment of cremated remains will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute. Minute was born July 24, 1953 in Fagasa, American Samoa, the son of Tasimani and Taimiti (Salanoa) Atuatasi. He was born and raised in American Samoa and had resided in the Fenton area for 28 years. Minute was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a Hi-Lo driver for March Coatings. Surviving are: wife. Marynell of Flint; siblings, Fesuia'I (Lemaua'i) Tasimani, Lima (Moeva M.) Togafau, Mata (Pasesa) Lafitaga, Iosefa (Lenita) Tasimani, Eveline (Vaga) Pelesa, Apineru (Rosalina) Tasimani; father-in-law, Donald McLaughlin of Fenton; sisters-in-law, Katherine Kearns of Fenton, Cindy (Brian) Palmer of VA; brothers-in-law, Bill (Chris) McLaughlin, Don (Liz) McLaughlin; nieces and nephews, John Kearns, Molly and William McLaughlin, Robin Moleski, Tyler Sipes; and dogs, Jack and Bootsy also survive. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the Medical Team Hospice, staff of Wynnwood of Grand Blanc and March Coatings. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law.
