HORNAK, Mylan Henry - Age 69, of Flint Township, died July 2, 2017. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday, July 7 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 17, 2017. Mylan was born August 28, 1947 in Flint, the son of Henry and Iona (Ayotte) Hornak. He was a graduate of Ainsworth High School. Mylan married Linda Carol Hampton on July 26, 1969. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and was awarded a Silver Star Medal for his gallantry. Mylan retired from General Motors where he worked as a painter and then machine operator. Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, Tammy (Terry) Bignall of Columbiaville, and Matthew (Jennifer) Hornak of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Kayla and Cassandra Bignall, and Julia Hornak; sisters, Rebecca Wesener and Pamela (Darroll) Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
