Myron Clinton

February 22, 1944 — September 8, 2016

Myron William Clinton, age 72, of Howell, formerly of Flint, passed away peacefully at home September 8, 2016 after a long and hard fought battle with heart disease. Funeral services will be held 4 PM Sunday, September 11 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint . Visitation will be 3-8 PM Saturday, September 10, and 3 PM until the time of the service at 4 PM Sunday, September 11. Myron graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in June 1965. He married Peggy J. Eagleson on July 27, 1974. He worked at General Motors for 30 years, including Fisher Body and Buick City before retiring as Editor of the Buick City newspaper in August 1994. Myron was actively engaged in youth hockey holding various board positions at the Eastern Michigan Hockey Association, Michigan National AAA Hockey League, and Michigan Amateur Hockey Association. Myron was also actively involved with the Flint Mounted Police, American Red Cross, and Marion County Sheriffs Department in Ocala, Florida. Myron leaves behind his wife of 42 years Peggy Clinton of Howell, son Eric Clinton of Farmington Hills, son Gary Clinton (April) of Greenville, SC, daughter Shelley Clinton of Saginaw, sister Linda Hayes (Carl) of Ortonville, sister Marjorie Hinman of Fenton, brothers Brian and Bill, grandson Joseph Clinton, granddaughter Alicia Clinton-Slater, nieces Judy, Tonya, Tammy, Tracia and nephews Joe and Jeff. Myron was preceded in death by his mother Mary L. Clinton (Toomey), father William J. Clinton, niece Jenny, and nephew John.
