Nancy Hodges

HODGES, Nancy Jean "Sam"- Age 67, of Howell, died July 15, 2017. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Monday, August 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place 12 PM until the time of service. Nancy was born October 8, 1949 in Flint, the daughter of Charles and Joanne (Mitchell) Hodges. She was a 1967 graduate of Southwestern High School in Flint and sang in the choir. She attended Mott Community College and studied art and criminal justice. She was a disc jockey in the Flint area for twenty five years and was a part of the PWP group. She was an active member of St. Pius Catholic Church. She was a member of RCIA for three years with Fr. Bill Ashbagh and was a member of the parish choir for eight years. Nancy also participated in Fr. Matthew Fedewa's Koinonia group for ten years. After moving to Swartz Creek she worked as an assistant Librarian at St. Mary's School. Nancy moved from Farmington to Howell in January of 2016. She is survived by her sisters, Charlene Coleman of Flint and Debbie Morton of Centerline; niece, Jennifer Harris of Davison; great niece, Megan Harris of Davison; big sister, Jane Lajewski and family; extended family, Mary Hodges, Linda, Larry, Cindy, and families; host of extraordinary friends including, Mark, Lonny, Beverly, and several others.
