HOEG, Nancy Alison - Age 72, of Fenton, died Saturday, March 18, 2017. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Linden Presbyterian Church or Salvation Army. Nancy was born August 27, 1944 in Temple, TX the daughter of First Lieutenant Walter G. and Clover Arlene (Branch) Klamer. She was a 1962 graduate Geneva High School in Geneva, OH and a 1966 graduate of Albion College as a Biology major. She married Bion Lynwood Hoeg July 6, 1968 in Geneva, OH. As a child she was in Girl Scouts, Rainbow Girls (Worth Advisor), and picked strawberries, cherries, and raspberries as summer employment. She taught at Clarkston Community School for 4 years and Linden Community Schools for 16 years, where she was a middle and high school teacher of biology, science and home economics. Nancy as an adult was a Girl Scout Leader and Trainer, AAUW member, Child Study group leader, and she was a volunteer in daughters' early elementary classrooms for 8 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, needlepoint, reading, flower gardening, and visiting family and friends around the USA on summer vacations. "Don't cry for me, but remember the most important things in my life, and make that your memory of me, not my death." Surviving are: her husband of 48 years, Bion; daughter, Dr. Karin Hoeg and husband Dr. John Rampton; grandsons, Alexander and Thomas Rampton all of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Dr. Thomas Klamer and sister-in-law Rochelle Fournier of St. Simons Island, GA, nephews Bradley (Kristen) Klamer and Brian Klamer of New Orleans, LA as well as cousin Judy Davidson of Naples, FL. ​She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alison Schoenherr​; parents; parents-in-law, Bion R. and Lillian B.
