Nancy Lee Walker (Crowley) went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, peacefully holding her husband’s hand as she took her last breath. She was the heart of her family — a loving mother, devoted wife, and a light to everyone who knew her.
Nancy always put her family first. Her warm heart and radiant smile lit up every room she entered. Christmas was her favorite holiday, not for the gifts, but because it meant being surrounded by family — though she was the best gift-giver! She loved to cook and was known for sharing meals with neighbors and friends.
Nancy faced her battle with cancer with grace, faith, and strength. Her wisdom, resilience, and deep love for her family will never be forgotten.
Raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Nancy met Lloyd A. Chapman when she was 13 and they were united in marriage in 1962. Together, they raised three children: Laura (Chuck) Ikerd, Julie (Ferris) Hallmark, and Kenneth Chapman. After Lloyd’s passing, Nancy met and married Lyle Walker. With their union, they lovingly blended their families, adding three more children: Joy (Roger) Beamer, Rhea (Don) DeButts, and Jeff Walker. Nancy and Lyle shared 44 years of a joyful and devoted marriage.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine (Beyer) Crowley; her first husband, Lloyd A. Chapman; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Szymborski. She leaves behind her beloved husband Lyle, six children, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her love and memory forward.
