TIPTON, Neubert Marshall "Pat" - Age 83, of Fenton, died Monday, May 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Richard Williams officiating. Burial immediately following at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Tipton was born June 22, 1929 in Lafollette, TN, the son of Wilse and Mossie (Dossett) Tipton. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He married Wilma Dean Moore May 21, 1955 in Park City, KY. He retired from Detroit Toledo Ironton Railroad as a conductor after 34 years of service. He was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan and enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking, and cars. Surviving are: wife, Wilma; 4 children, Debra and husband Jim Lanzon of Fenton, Alan and wife Terry Tipton of Hartland, Kevin and wife Lori Tipton of Chesterfield, and Wade and wife Karen Tipton of Roseville; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; sister, Monnie Pierce of Duff, TN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clay Tipton, and sister, Jean Baird. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
