CREGO, Nora Dillon - of Flint, passed away at her home at Abbey Park on September 8, 2013 , at the age of 99. Nora was born in Syracuse, NY on July 3, 1914, the daughter of Frank J. and Katherine "Kitty" (Connor) Dillon . She was the widow of Dr. Aaron C. Crego. Her two brothers Frank and John, and a sister Elizabeth also preceded her in death. Nora graduated from Cathedral High School in Syracuse, NY, and continued her education at St. Joseph's College in Emmetsburg, MD, earning her degree with the class of 1936. She interned at St. Mary Receiving Hospital in Detroit as a dietician for one year. This is where she met her husband, married in 1938, and spent the rest of her life in the Flint area. She was involved and active in a number of community activities including volunteering at St. Joseph's Hospital, and St. Michael's Catholic Church and School in Flint. Nora is survived by her three daughters, Sally (Dan) Zaroff, Mary Ellen (Jack) Krueger, Barbara (Barry) Barth; seven grandsons, Mark (Melissa) Zaroff, Mathew (Kathleen) Zaroff, Brian (Shauna) Zaroff, David (Laura) Krueger, Michael Krueger, Patrick (Sara) Barth, and Kevin Barth. She is also survived by four great-grandsons, and eight great-granddaughters. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. In place of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Catholic Charities of Genesee County, 901 Chippewa St., Flint MI 48503, or a charity of your choice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, September 14 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint, followed by interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30-10 AM at the church on Saturday.
