Norman Patrick HOYDIC

July 8, 1933 — March 30, 2013

HOYDIC, Norman Patrick - of Fenton Michigan peacefully passed away Saturday March 30, 2013; he was 79 years of age. Norman was born and raised in Flint Michigan and was a graduate of Flint Northern High, class of 1952. Norman loved the sport of football and bowling. He was inducted into the hall of fame bowling and inducted into the football hall of fame, October 1987. He also played football for the United States Army Far East team Japan. Norman a big game hunter also enjoyed deer hunting in the Upper Peninsula with his two sons and nephew Joe Pilara. After serving four years in the Army he married Diana Pilara and they had two sons Norman Jr. and Michael Hoydic. Norman was one of three children. Brother Mickey and Sister Joanne (deceased). Was the beloved husband of Nancy Sartor Hoydic for over twenty one years. Together they loved wintering in Arizona, helping raise and spending their summer's camping with their grandchildren. Norman will be forever remember and loved by his children Norman, Michael, Stacey, Russell & Gail, Dennis; his adoring grandchildren, Brooke, Joshua, Dianna, Erin, Katie, Jason, Francesca, Sydney, Joie, Cory, Aubree & Kelsey; loving niece and nephew, Crissy Barber and Joe Pilara; Norman touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his trademark sense of humor to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton on Wednesday April 3, 2013 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 4, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N.
