Omar "Bud" Spidel, Jr.

SPIDEL, Omar Clarence Jr. "Bud" -  Age 88, of Gaines, passed away November 19, 2022. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023 at The Rock Church, 11400 Linden Rd., Fenton. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Omar was born January 17, 1934 in Northstar Township, the son of Omar and Mattie (Jones) Spidel. He married Carol Schaedig on March 20, 1965; she preceded him in death on November 4, 2017. Mr. Spidel was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from Abtrex Industries and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his son, David (Kim) Spidel; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lucille Palmer. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
