Patricia Ann Danko, of Fenton, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her sleep on July 11, 2026. She was 65 years old.
Born on August 5, 1960 in Jackson, she was the middle child of nine children born to Robert Joseph and Barbara Ann (Hoard) Leahy. Patty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a caring friend. She was a kind and thoughtful person who loved people, dedicating her life to her family and helping those in need in any way she could.
Patty's greatest joy was her family, and she was always there for her eleven grandchildren. She was a constant part of their daily lives, helping with school drop-offs and doctor's appointments, supporting them at their sports activities, and hosting sleepovers and "cousin days."
Many of her favorite memories were made at the family cottage on Wixom Lake. Patty loved spending time with her friends there and hosting her kids, grandkids, and extended family for boating, swimming, lawn games, and nights hanging out in the pole barn. She also loved the outdoors and took her family on many memorable camping trips over the years.
As a younger woman, Patty loved to travel and was a regular on the beaches of Jamaica, visiting twice a year for two decades alongside her loving husband, Andy. Together, they went on many scuba diving adventures and built close, lasting relationships with locals on Negril beach.
Patty is survived by her husband of 34 years, Andy; seven children: Aaron (Lynsey), Adam (Samantha), Abby (Ben), Art (Lainie), Alysa (Corey), Cierra (Zach), and Cayla (Joe); 11 grandchildren: Elijah, Evan, Ethan, Scarlett, Sebastian, Grayson, Arlo, Penny, August, Oliver, and Josephine; three siblings: Joe (Becky), Pete (Mollie), and Theresa (Kevin); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Steve, Timmy, Diane, Liz, and Debbie, and granddaughter Eloise.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Friday, July 17, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with Benjamen Evers officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
