Patrick Cummings, 34, passed away, peacefully in his sleep, May 14, 2026.
Patrick was born in February and 1992. From that day forward, he brought laughter and joy into our lives and the lives of many others. He also managed to challenge, infuriate, and worry us. He contributed as many gray hairs as he did precious memories.
Patrick attended Fenton High School and graduated in 2010. While in high school he enjoyed football and track. He went on to attend Ohio Wesleyan University, was a member of Delta Tau Delta, and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Like many college grads he did have a career direction but landed a job in commercial insurance. The longer he worked in the industry the more he came to enjoy it.
During his senior year of college, he met Jackie. He knew she was the one from the first date. They spent that summer listening to his extensive and eccentric music collection, enjoying the outdoors, and falling in love. Their relationship spanned over many milestones and transitions and with each chapter, Pat was set on supporting Jackie’s passion and dream to become an OT at the VA. Without hesitation, Pat dropped everything to change jobs and move to different cities and states to support Jackie’s dream and was supportive in every way possible. He and Jackie adopted two loving and mischievous dogs, Wally and Winnie who adore Pat more than anyone else in this world.
Patrick lived! He packed so much life into his thirty-four years. He experienced college and fraternity life, fell in love, worked in a profession he loved, and pursued his passions for hunting and fishing. He had a quick wit, enjoyed cooking and just hanging out with Jackie and the dogs. We will miss his sense of humor, contagious smile and love of life. He will be deeply loved forever and will never be forgotten.
Pat is survived by his true love and life compass, Jackie Kaiser, his parents Jan and Robert, his brother Daniel (Amanda) and his beloved Deutsche Wachtelhunds, Wally and Winnie. He is also survived by Jackie’s family and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind brothers for life in Delta Tau Delta fraternity, as well as many dear friends and colleagues.
Patrick liked things simple and in lieu of flowers would want us to support Jackie’s work with veterans while acknowledging his love of hunting and fishing. To honor his memory, please donate to https://freedomhunters.org/ to provide active-duty troops, combat Veterans and their families with hunting and fishing opportunities as a means to lift spirits, boost morale, and provide an escape from the stresses that come with deployment and transitioning back to civilian life.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3,2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, MI 48430, with a memorial visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a reception to follow at Fenton Winery and Brewery, 1370 N.
