Patsy A. Johnson

Patsy A. Johnson, age 91, of Flushing, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. A Visitation will be held at 9:30am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Flushing United Methodist Church, 413 E. Main Street in Flushing. Patsy will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Online condolences can be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Patsy was born on April 15, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to the late Lloyd & Priscilla Jaques. Patsy owned and operated her own grooming business. Pat's Dog Grooming, it was stationed out of her very own home and her daughter, Peggy, worked along side her. Together they stayed in operation for 17 years. Patsy adored animals of all kinds, throughout the many years she had countless dogs, cats and even birds. She kept beautiful flower gardens around her house, along with a pond which housed a snapper turtle who also became a pet. She kept small vegetable gardens and canned tomatoes. Patsy was a talented quilter and seamstress.  She really enjoyed making, finishing, and gifting away her precious pieces of art.  Patsy's house was always a gathering place and she hosted many family get-together's and holiday meals.  She loved being surrounded by family and friends.

She is survived by her 5 children, Nancy (Paul) Gilbert, Peggy Yats, David Yats, Thomas (Mellissa) Yats and Richard (Heather) Johnson; 9 grandchildren, Bill (Penny Lane), Nick (Jennifer), Mike (Deanna), Ann (Darrin), John (Lisa), Sophia (Andrew), Corbin (Hope), Sara and Etta (Mario). Patsy is further survived by numerous great-grandchildren,  great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lloyd (Priscilla) Jaques, she was preceded in death by two children, Alvin Yats and Susan Levely; her first husband, John Yats, second husband, Richard Johnson and all of her siblings.
