Paul Alan Bloom

Bloom, Paul Alan - Age 77, of Linden, formerly of Howell and Farmington, died March 28, 2025. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden.

Paul was born June 14, 1947 in Farmington, Michigan, the son of Alfred Bloom and Betty Marie (Green) Bloom. He was raised in Farmington and graduated from Our Lady of Sorrow High School. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Eastern Michigan University. He served in the National Guard for 6 years. Paul married Sharron Lee Henson on June 14, 1969 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. They moved to Linden in 2020 coming from Howell where they had resided for 42 years. He was the owner of Healthcare Furniture Inc.

Paul was an outstanding Tennis Player and won many advanced tournaments. He also had a love for the outdoors and was a skilled hunter, fisherman, and gardener.

Paul and his wife Sharron lost their only child when he was only 20 years old and they honored his memory constantly including building a large and beautiful memorial garden at their home in Howell.

Paul’s nephews and nieces were often captivated by his humorous stories and graced by his advice and pep talks. Paul was a devoted husband.

Surviving are: wife of 55 years; Sharron; sister-in-law Sandra (Dennis) Hendrickson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Noah Paul Bloom; sister, Janice Marie Gerwolls; and brother Thomas James Bloom.
