Paul J. Falcon (Muzzie), 98, lifelong resident of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully in the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Linden, Michigan surrounded by his family on February 22. Paul was born on November 25, 1914 in Greensburg, the third of four children to Julius and Elizabeth (Merlino) Falcon. His mother died in the flu epidemic of 1918, his father later married Teresa DeSanto and the family grew by seven more children. Paul loved each of his brothers and sisters and cherished memories of their early years together. After leaving Greensburg High School, Paul was in the first Civilian Conservation Corps from Westmoreland County during the Depression. He then returned to Greensburg to become a welder for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. He was later hired by Robertshaw Fulton Controls of New Stanton and became a metallurgist. He worked at Robertshaw until he retired in 1977. After 56 wonderful years of marriage, Paul was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Marie White Falcon, in 1996 and their grandson, Shane Behanna, in 2007. Paul was also preceded in death by his father, mother, step mother, siblings James Falcon, Mary Falcon Balya, Elsie Falcon Pellis, Joseph Falcon, and Viola Falcon, brothers-in-law Joseph Balya, Neal Pellis, Carl Corsi and Salvatore (Sam) Bitonti, and sisters-in-law Mary (Mari) Falcon, Mary (Genard) Falcon and Angie (Bando) Falcon. He is survived by his brothers Julius Falcon and William Falcon and sisters Elizabeth Falcon Corsi, Viola Falcon Bitonti, and Margaret Falcon and sisters-in-law Carolyn (Stephenson) Falcon and Dolly (Markulin) Falcon. Paul lives on in his eight children: Joann Falcon, Erie, Colorado; Dr. Spencer Falcon (Mary) Dexter, Michigan; Jack Falcon (Peggy), Clarkston, Michigan; Janet Falcon Dean (Greg), Linden, Michigan; Patricia Falcon Scherder (Jack), Port Charlotte, Florida; Elizabeth Falcon Vita (Salvatore), Cape Coral, Florida; Zella Falcon Cook (Stephen), New Lebanon, Ohio; Paul M. Falcon, Keymar, Maryland. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. An active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and lifelong member of the Greensburg YMCA, Paul enjoyed reading, watching movies, especially westerns and comedies, listening to great music and treating us all to his fabulous singing. He loved to cook huge meals and share his accomplishments with family and friends at every opportunity. An avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, Paul was also a big supporter of the Hempfield Spartans. His favorite stories included countless trips with his family, including a deep sea adventure where he caught a trophy marlin at the age of 87! It was Paul's wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Drive, Delmont, PA 15626. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bacha Funeral Home, 516 Stanton St., Greensburg, PA. with visitation from 3-5 & 7-9 Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 820 Carbon Rd, Greensburg, PA on Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00 AM.
